Windstorm Tears Through New Kugbo Bus Terminal, Disrupts Asokoro Traffic

A recent windstorm ripped off sections of the newly completed Kugbo Bus Terminal built under FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s administration. Debris was scattered onto the road, blocking lanes toward Asokoro and causing heavy traffic delays. Commuters and motorists struggled to navigate around the obstruction as congestion grew. Local authorities have begun clearing the debris and assessing damage to restore normal movement on the route.

How did the windstorm manage to tear off those terminal sections so quickly, and what safety gaps were there?

Do we know if the terminal's construction materials were rated for high wind speeds?

That's odd. I too wonder how the structure failed so quickly and what safety protocols were overlooked.

It's strange that a newly completed structure could fail so badly at first gust, makes me question the material quality used.

Authorities should clear debris quickly, set up temporary traffic rerouting, and inspect remaining sections for possible reinforcement.
