Hundreds Receive Free Health Screenings at Okota Outreach — 1 of 4
1 / 4

Voice of Hope Women Foundation teamed up with a pharmaceutical partner to offer a free medical outreach at 32 Dele Orisa Iyi Street, Okota. Hundreds of residents accessed consultations, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, health education, counselling and free medications. The convener explained that the event was designed to reach vulnerable community members who cannot afford routine medical exams. While the foundation focuses on women’s empowerment, men and children also benefited from the initiative. Organisers emphasised that preventive healthcare is vital for early detection of ailments like hypertension and diabetes. Participants learned healthy living tips and received medications to manage their conditions. Beneficiaries praised the programme for bringing essential services to their doorstep. The foundation plans to sustain these grassroots interventions and expand partnerships to improve healthcare delivery in other communities.
