Jesus tells of a king who prepares a wedding banquet for his son. He sends servants to call invited guests, but they refuse and even mistreat his messengers. Angry at their rejection, the king invites everyone from the streets. The hall fills with all kinds of people. Yet one guest without proper wedding clothes is thrown out as a warning. Jesus closes with a challenge: “Many are invited, but few are chosen.” This parable urges us to honour God’s invitation with faith and readiness.
