US-Based Nigerian Doctor Dies During Abia Free Medical Outreach

US-Based Nigerian Doctor Dies During Abia Free Medical Outreach

Dr. Uzoma Nwaubani, a US-based physician with the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas, collapsed while volunteering in a five-day free medical mission in Abia State. After developing a sudden medical emergency, she was rushed to a nearby hospital where ANPA and local specialists worked to save her life. Despite their efforts, she could not be revived. Governor Alex Otti expressed deep shock at her passing, praising her dedication and compassion. He extended condolences to her family and ANPA, and pledged government support during the mourning period. The governor also commended the medical team and Dr. Nwaubani’s family for allowing the outreach to continue. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the health and well-being of Abia residents.
