NNPC Delivers Over 6.8 Million Barrels of Crude to Dangote Refinery in April
NNPC Trading delivered eight crucial cargoes totalling 1.03 million metric tonnes of crude to the Dangote refinery in April. This volume, equal to about 6.8 million barrels, reinforces the refinery’s role as a major domestic fuel hub. Shipments came from streams including Anyala, Bonga, Odudu, Forcados, Qua Iboe and Utapate via the refinery’s Single Point Mooring systems. Five cargoes have fully discharged, while three await berthing or completion, ensuring steady inflows. Beyond crude, the refinery received blendstock gasoline and Premium Motor Spirit from the UK, France, Norway and Togo. A large residue catalytic oil shipment from Singapore is expected later in April. Industry analysts view these deliveries as a sign of strong supply commitments under evolving downstream reforms. The expansions could significantly curb fuel imports and boost local product availability.
