Onaiwu Urges Nigerians Not to Let Politics Divide Families and Friends
Earl Osaro Onaiwu has urged Nigerians not to let political differences destroy relationships with friends, relatives and loved ones. He said disagreements over parties and candidates are normal in a democracy, but should not become personal conflicts. Nigerians can support different candidates, debate policies passionately and still maintain respect for one another. Onaiwu cautioned that political seasons and administrations will pass, while the damage caused by broken family ties and friendships can last much longer. He called for maturity, tolerance and mutual respect as political activities increase.
