Femi Azeez Blocked by Millwall, Misses Super Eagles Friendlies Against Poland and Portugal

Femi Azeez Blocked by Millwall, Misses Super Eagles Friendlies Against Poland and Portugal — 1 of 5
1 / 5

Millwall forward Femi Azeez will miss Nigeria’s upcoming friendlies against Poland and Portugal after his club denied his release. The 24-year-old winger had earned a call-up following a strong showing in the Unity Cup in London. Coach Eric Chelle initially omitted Azeez but later named him as a replacement for Samuel Chukwueze. Despite scoring and assisting on his debut, Chelle noted technical flaws and Millwall insisted he return to Championship duty. The club recently rejected a reported £20m bid, valuing Azeez closer to £30m amid interest from several Premier League clubs. Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman will also sit out, while two midfielders missed out due to visa issues.
