Federation Cup Upsets: Enyimba, Rivers United and Bendel Insurance Eliminated

Enyimba crashed out of the President’s Federation Cup after losing 5-4 on penalties to Ikorodu City following a 1-1 draw in regulation at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium. Jacob Jonathan put Ikorodu City ahead before Aderemi Adeoye levelled in the 82nd minute. Bendel Insurance also bowed out when El-Kanemi Warriors prevailed 8-7 in a penalty shootout, while Rivers United fell to Nasarawa United 5-3 on spot-kicks after a 2-2 stalemate in Awka. Quarter-final ties now pit Sokoto United against El-Kanemi Warriors, Wikki Tourists versus Flight FC, Nasarawa United facing Plateau United, and Ikorodu City taking on Barau FC.
