Prof. I.N.S. Dozie Appointed FUTO’s Ninth Vice-Chancellor

The Federal University of Technology, Owerri has officially named Professor I.N.S. Dozie as its ninth substantive Vice-Chancellor. The University’s Governing Council, under the chairmanship of Sen. Jack Tilley-Gyado, completed a rigorous recruitment process before presenting the appointment letter. Outgoing Vice-Chancellor Professor Mrs. Nnenna N. Oti was on hand to welcome her successor. Professor Dozie brings extensive leadership experience from his tenure at K.O. Mbadiwe University and previous roles at FUTO, including Dean of the School of Health Technology and Director of Linkages and Advancement. He will assume office on June 19, 2026, succeeding Professor Oti.
