Ekiti State University has unveiled a modern ICT Experience Centre sponsored by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund. The facility marks a milestone in the university’s push for digital transformation and hands-on technology training. At the commissioning ceremony, the Chancellor hailed the project as the fulfilment of a 45-year dream. He credited the federal government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and highlighted the ₦3.52 trillion education allocation in the 2025 budget as proof of strong support for learning. The event brought together top dignitaries, including the First Lady, the Vice-President’s wife, the Ekiti State Governor and First Lady, national lawmakers, TETFund officials and university leaders. The Chancellor urged students to explore the centre’s resources and prepare for a future driven by AI, data science and innovation. He also praised the Nigerian Education Loan Fund for disbursing over ₦282 billion to more than 1.5 million tertiary students. The new ICT hub is set to strengthen research, digital literacy and technology skills across the campus community.
