CSO Praises SANs’ Mediation in Prolonged Maitama Property Dispute
A civil society organisation has praised reconciliation efforts in a five-year property dispute over two flats at No 1, Mekong Close in Maitama, Abuja. The group’s convener appealed to all parties to negotiate and avoid further litigation. He warned that continued court battles would drain time and resources without benefit. It commended Justice Samira Bature of the FCT High Court for vacating arrest warrants against lawyer Victor Giwa and a police official. The decision is expected to strengthen mediation efforts. The organisation also acknowledged the interventions of Senior Advocates of Nigeria Dr Ahmed Raji and Joe Agi. Their involvement has been key in steering the matter toward an amicable settlement.
