Say Goodbye to Gridlock: Lagos to Launch Water Taxi on Lekki–Epe Corridor
Lagos State Ferry Services is set to roll out the Eko Water Taxi on the Lekki–Epe route. This move aims to ease traffic congestion and shorten commuting times for residents and businesses. The service launch was announced by the Managing Director of LAGFERRY at a recent strategic retreat. Plans include introducing electric boats and expanding cargo movement across key corridors such as Lekki, Apapa, Ikorodu, Epe and Badagry. Officials say this initiative will boost Lagos’s blue economy, cut emissions and improve safety. It also aligns with the state’s transport policy, which focuses on operational efficiency and integrating water transport into daily life.
