Millwall Stand Firm as Ipswich’s £20m Bid for Azeez Is Rejected
Millwall have turned down Ipswich Town’s latest £20 million offer for Super Eagles forward Femi Azeez. The 24-year-old enjoyed a standout season at The Den, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists in 35 Championship appearances. After switching allegiance from England to Nigeria, Azeez struck twice on his Super Eagles debut in a 2-0 victory over Zimbabwe in the Unity Cup semi-final. Ipswich’s earlier approach valued him between £15 million and £20 million, but reports now suggest Millwall want closer to £30 million. Under contract until 2028, Azeez remains a key asset for Millwall. If Ipswich are serious, they must decide whether to up their bid as the summer window unfolds. Azeez is expected to start in Saturday’s Unity Cup final against Jamaica as Nigeria chase a fourth consecutive title.
