Alausa Urges Young Nigerians to Embrace Positivity and Boost Country’s Image

Education Minister Dr. Tunji Alausa has called on Nigeria’s youth to reject persistent negativity, especially on social media. He spoke at the flag-off of a new 1,500-bed student hostel project at Yaba College of Technology in Lagos. Alausa warned that negative narratives can damage the nation’s reputation, scare away investors and limit economic opportunities. He reminded young people of the administration’s commitment to youth empowerment through both political will and financial investment. The minister highlighted Nigeria’s untapped potential and said investing in young Nigerians is critical to national transformation. He noted that the new hostel is part of a five-point agenda by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund under a public-private partnership to rehabilitate hostels, classrooms and auditoriums across tertiary institutions.
