Keep Moving Forward, Even When You Are Exhausted
Today’s devotional reflects on Gideon and his 300 men, who crossed the Jordan “exhausted, yet keeping up the pursuit” as they continued after the Midianite kings, Zebah and Zalmunna. Though weary and denied the bread they requested, they did not abandon the mission. Fatigue is real, but being tired is not always the same as being finished. Some assignments demand perseverance after the excitement has faded, support is absent and people offer mockery instead of encouragement. Consider the goal you may have left unfinished because you became exhausted. Ask God for renewed strength to complete what remains, and do not let discouragement, lack of support or weariness stop your progress. Prayer: Father, renew my strength for every unfinished assignment. Give me grace to keep moving forward until the work is complete, in Jesus’ name.
