Faé Blames Inexperience for Ivory Coast’s World Cup Exit to Norway

Ivory Coast coach Emerse Faé said a lack of maturity cost his side as they bowed out of the 2026 World Cup with a 2-1 loss to Norway in Arlington. After Amad Diallo’s superb 74th-minute equaliser, the Elephants pushed for extra time. But costly touches and a defensive lapse allowed Erling Haaland to strike four minutes from time. Faé praised his young squad’s work ethic but admitted their first World Cup experience showed. He urged his players to learn pragmatism and concentration to compete with Europe’s elite.
