Was I Wrong to Get Upset When My Wife Asked the Gateman to Remove and Repair Her Shoes?

I saw my wife return from a girls’ hangout and head straight to the gate. Without noticing me watching, she asked the gateman to remove her canvas shoes. He took off both and she told him to send them for repair. At the time, I stayed quiet, but later I told her I thought she was overstepping by using our gateman like that. She insisted she didn’t see anything wrong and kept saying she didn’t know it was unreasonable. Now I’m left wondering if I’m overreacting or if her behavior was out of line. Fellow members, what do you think—is this a problem, or am I making too much of it?

Can you tell me what emotions came up when you realized she asked without checking with you?

It's interesting you stayed silent at first even though the request seemed unusual coming from your own home.

Next time, try talking calmly with your wife right after the incident so you understand each other's perspective better.
