CAC Confirms Data Breach, Urges Users to Update Passwords

CAC Confirms Data Breach, Urges Users to Update Passwords

The Corporate Affairs Commission has detected unauthorized access to parts of its information systems. Response protocols are in place and the commission is working with NITDA and other partners to assess the impact and contain the incident. Users are advised to review their corporate records, change login credentials immediately, and be vigilant against unsolicited messages or phishing attempts. CAC remains committed to the integrity of Nigeria’s corporate registry and will issue further updates as the review progresses.

True, we're all eager for specifics, but I doubt they'll spill every detail. Best to update anyway.

It's concerning they only detected unauthorized access now, makes me question how thorough their earlier security audits were.

I no think updating passwords alone go stop future breaches; the commission needs a full review of their entire system.

It's wise for all users to set strong, unique passwords now and enable any available two-factor authentication on their CAC accounts immediately.
