Sunday Dare to Keynote Gazelle News Anniversary Lecture on Grassroots Governance
Sunday Dare, Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications to President Tinubu, will deliver the keynote address at The Gazelle News’ anniversary public lecture in Lagos. The event takes place on Wednesday, 15 July 2026 at Radisson Blu Hotel, starting at 10:00 a.m. Under the theme “Driving Grassroots Governance with Public-Private Partnership: The Pains, The Challenges, The Prospects,” the lecture will bring together policymakers, academics, media practitioners and industry leaders. The annual series was created to spark policy conversations on critical national issues. With over three decades in journalism, governance and strategic communications, Dare served as Minister of Youth and Sports Development and introduced initiatives like the Sports Industry Policy and the Nigeria Youth Investment Fund. His experience promises to enrich discussions on effective partnerships at the grassroots level. Invited guests include representatives from government, media, civil society and the private sector. Organisers expect Dare’s insights to drive meaningful dialogue on strengthening community governance through public-private collaboration.
