Nigeria Rugby Launches Coaching and Medical Course in Abeokuta to Boost Grassroots
The Nigeria Rugby Football Federation will host a three-day coaching and medical programme in Abeokuta from April 23 to 25. Sessions at Mitros Residences and the MKO Abiola Sports Arena will cover player safety, advanced coaching methods, and athlete management. Organised with the Ogun State Rugby Association, the course prepares participants for Level One and Two certifications. Candidates must complete Rugby Ready and safeguarding modules before attending. Meanwhile, the third Abeokuta Rugby Sevens tournament has been postponed to June. Organisers hope the new date will allow teams nationwide to participate and prepare more effectively.
