From Loss to Hope: My Journey to Motherhood
Psalm 150:6 reminds me that every breath is for praise. At 20, I married the man I loved. Within a month, I was expecting our first child. But after three days of labor, our baby boy was born weak and died two hours later. We tried again and again. Three more pregnancies ended the same. Doctors had no answers. Prophets offered hope. We even planned to adopt, only to be duped and arrested. I spent five years in prison, abandoned by my family and my husband. A women’s advocate finally secured my freedom. I started a baking business to rebuild my life. I learned to dress well, care for my skin, and smile again. I found a new love who accepted my past. Today, I’m married with two healthy boys born by C-section. To every woman who has lost a child or been abandoned: your womb did not fail you. Your heart is still a mother’s heart. God has not forgotten you. Stand up, love yourself, and let hope carry you forward.
