God’s Pursuit: The Parable of the Wandering Sheep (Matthew 18:10–14)
In Matthew 18:10-14, Jesus urges us not to look down on the little ones and reminds us that their angels stand before the Father in heaven. He tells of a shepherd who leaves ninety-nine sheep on the hills to search for the one that has strayed. When he finds it, he rejoices more over the lost sheep than over the ninety-nine who never wandered. This parable illustrates God’s deep love for each individual and His unwillingness to let any soul perish. It encourages us to value every person and celebrate their return to the fold.
