28-Year-Old Woman Arrested With Suspected Cannabis in Kontagora, Niger State

In a statement on April 20, the Niger State Police Command announced the arrest of 28-year-old Rukayya Mohammed from the Barracks Gate area of Kontagora. She was stopped during a patrol in Kawo village on April 10 and found with a polythene bag containing suspected cannabis. Investigators say Mohammed confessed to selling the drugs to members of the public and has since been charged to court. Authorities added that efforts to trace and arrest her alleged suppliers are ongoing.
