My Fiancé Called Off Our Church Wedding Two Weeks Before the Big Day

My Fiancé Called Off Our Church Wedding Two Weeks Before the Big Day — 1 of 7
1 / 7

I can’t believe my fiancé left me just two weeks before our church wedding. In a Facebook post, I explained how Bongos sent me back to my parents, calling me stubborn and disrespectful. We had sealed our union traditionally in October 2022, but trust issues and domestic violence plagued us from the start. A few days before December 29, 2025, he told my father he no longer wanted to marry me. I fell sick with shock when my dad broke the news. His family demanded all the payments back and refused to call or check on me. Now, after our wedding date and send-forth prayers passed, the same man is begging me to forgive him. He claims he didn’t know what came over him, but I’ve made my decision. I want him to move on and find a woman who will honor him.

I understand you feel betrayed, yet insisting you were never disrespectful ignores how your actions might have heightened tensions before things turned violent.

Consider seeking professional support to process what happened, involve trusted friends or family for safety, and plan steps forward at your own pace.
