Onuachu Ruled Out of Trabzonspor Clash with Alanyaspor After Muscle Injury
Paul Onuachu will miss Saturday’s Turkish Super Lig tie against Alanyaspor after sustaining a thigh muscle injury in training. The 31-year-old Nigeria international experienced pain and stiffness in the upper anterior thigh during Friday’s session, the club said. He was withdrawn from the match squad and has begun treatment with the medical team. Onuachu played a key role in Trabzonspor’s 2-1 win over Galatasaray last weekend. His compatriot Chibuike Nwaiwu scored the decisive goal in that game. Currently the league’s top scorer with 22 goals, Onuachu’s absence could see veteran striker Anthony Nwakaeme lead the attack.
