Ogun State and Artnovation to Spotlight Nigerian Heritage at Milan Design Week 2026

Ogun State and Artnovation to Spotlight Nigerian Heritage at Milan Design Week 2026

Ogun State government has teamed up with Artnovation to present “The Rock That Remembers” at Milan Design Week in Italy from April 22–26, 2026. The exhibition will highlight the state’s rich heritage, tourism potential and investment opportunities through the iconic Olumo Rock. At a launch in Lagos, Governor Dapo Abiodun described the partnership as a strategic move to grow Ogun’s creative economy, create jobs and strengthen cultural and economic ties with Italy. He noted ongoing support for local enterprises such as Adire and the restoration of Olumo Rock. Artnovation’s Chief Curator, Foluke Michael, announced a VIP preview on April 22 at Collegiate Milano Bovisa, followed by the public exhibition from April 23–26. Highlights include fashion installations, paintings, hand-painted textures and indigenous Abeokuta textiles.
