Partaking in Holy Communion: Are You Truly Alive?
In John 6:53, Jesus taught that only those who eat His flesh and drink His blood will have life. Without Him, people may seem alive but are, in fact, spiritually dead. Through the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:24–26), we remember His sacrifice and embrace the life He offers. Each time we share bread and wine, we affirm the new covenant in His blood. When we partake worthily and often, we keep Christ before us and walk securely under His favor (Psalm 16:8). But those who eat without faith and repentance bring judgment (1 Corinthians 11:29–30). Don’t remain among the ‘living dead.’ Accept Jesus as Lord, turn from sin, and make the most of the privilege to sit at His table.
