Flamingos Gear Up in Ikenne for U-17 World Cup Qualifier
Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team, the Flamingos, have arrived in Ikenne to fine-tune preparations ahead of their qualifier against Guinea. Coach Akeem Busari’s side wrapped up five friendlies in Abuja last month, posting four wins and a draw while netting 28 goals and conceding three. The first leg in Conakry is set for Sunday, 24 May, with the return fixture at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Saturday, 30 May. The 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup will take place in Morocco from 17 October to 7 November.
