Lagos Joins Korea and UNICEF to Boost Vaccination in Hard-to-Reach Areas

A new collaboration between the Federal Government, Lagos State, the Republic of Korea and UNICEF aims to expand vaccine access in underserved communities across Lagos and Ogun. Building on gains from the recent measles-rubella campaign, the programme will strengthen routine immunisation systems, identify zero-dose and under-immunised children and train frontline health workers to reach riverine and border settlements. Health officials praised vaccines as one of the most affordable ways to protect children against measles, polio, diphtheria and meningitis. They urged parents, caregivers and community leaders to ensure every eligible child completes the recommended immunisation schedule.
