MSIF McDonald Fellowships 2027 Offers €55,000 Yearly for MS Researchers
Applications are open for the 2027 MSIF McDonald Fellowships, which support early-career researchers from low- and middle-income countries working on multiple sclerosis-related research. Successful applicants can undertake a two-year project at a recognised institution outside their home country. Funding is worth about €55,000 yearly and may cover living costs, one return flight, insurance, visa expenses, travel, accommodation and project-related research costs. Applicants should have at least an MSc, while PhD or MD holders are preferred. They must have fewer than five years of postdoctoral research experience, propose an MS-related project and secure a host institution and supervisor before applying. Research in neuroscience, biomedical science, clinical care, NMOSD and MOGAD may qualify where it clearly contributes to MS knowledge. Applicants must submit their online form, project proposal, host statement, three referee details and a 500-word lay summary by 1 December 2026. Fellows are expected to return home after the programme and contribute to MS research, care and scientific development.
